Water Problems
A variety of problems such as broken pipes, leaking hydrants, or faulty meters can occur in our water system. If you see a water problem, call the City Clerk at 677-0223 to report it. If the office is closed, call the police department at 677-0133 if the problem requires immediate attention.
Water plant operators and Public Works employees - often the same people - are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If the problem is too large for City workers to fix a local contractor is called.
One important note: problems at the meter or from the meter to the street are the City's responsibility to fix. However, problems from the meter to the residence or business are the property owner's responsibility. City workers may be able to help identify what the problem is so the property owner knows how to proceed.
