Trinidad Lions Club
For over 30 years the Trinidad Lions Club has served our community, from Big Lagoon to Little River. Through monthly pancake breakfasts the Club supports many service projects benefitting pre-schoolers through seniors.
A few of the Lions' activities include financial support for:
- Trinidad Community Choir Trinidad and Westhaven Volunteer Fire Departments
- Trinidad School Snack Program
- Trinidad Cub Scouts and Little League
- Sit'n Fit Senior exercise classes
- Delivering firewood to seniors
- Salmonberry Preschool boundary fence
- Programs for sight and hearing impaired persons
- and many, many others
Trinidad Lions Club organizes and runs the community Food Pantry and Brown Bag programs which distribute food to needy families and seniors. Each Christmas Lions also distribute special holiday baskets.
The Trinidad Lions Club participates in state and national Lions programs such as collecting discarded eyeglasses for distribution overseas. In short, "We serve" is the Trinidad Lions' motto for the community.
The Trinidad Lions Club meets the first Monday each month and has a potluck dinner the fourth Wednesday of the month. The last Sunday from January through October Lions sponsor a pancake breakfast at Trinidad School.
Adults of all ages are welcomed into the Lions Club. If you are interested in finding out more about the Lions Club, call President George Herd at 677-3401. People wanting to serve their community will enjoy being in the Trinidad Lions Club.
