The Planning Commission is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for directing and managing the growth and development of the City of Trinidad.
The Commission reviews and recommends approval of the City’s General Plan, land use ordinances, development plans, and coastal development permits. It also reviews and collects community data and keeps informed of the best practices in city planning and zoning. The Commission also reviews and approves new construction, and development, and conducts design reviews to ensure consistency with the City's Vision Statement.
